The Market Sling is a sturdy, mesh-style bag designed for high-function and a sharp, Scandi-style silhouette. In this workshop, we move beyond simple rows into functional construction. You will learn how to create a mesh fabric using the Yarn Over and Decrease combination, a fundamental skill for more advanced lace and garment work later. The Vibe Check: This project is about texture and strength. Using a plant-based fiber, you’ll create a piece that is as durable as it is beautiful. What's Included: The Studio Experience - Session 01: A high-impact hour focused on the base construction and the logic of the mesh "eyelets." You’ll get into the flow of the main body before you leave. - Session 02: We check your progress, troubleshoot any dropped stitches, and walk through a live demo of the handle construction and finishing techniques. - The Digital Portal: Lifetime access to step-by-step video guidance for the mesh pattern and the final assembly so you can finish the handles at your own pace. - Ongoing Support: Get support in the online app or drop by our weekly Thursday Social Hour at Create Cafe for hands-on help with your finishing touches or to celebrate your graduation from the series. The Gear (Yours to Keep) Yarn: Durable plant-based yarn in a curated color palette. Needles: Lykke wood needles. The Digital Portal: Step-by-step video guidance for the full project. Prerequisite: Completion of Summer Series 02 / The Triangle Scarf, or intermediate beginner skills (casting on, knit, purl, and basic shaping). This workshop is the final piece of a three-project series designed to take you from your first stitches to your dream project. While each class can be taken individually, the series is curated to build your technical confidence and your handmade wardrobe through the spring and early summer.
