Join me for a slow, intentional knit-along of Hey Sailor, the striking tee by Andrea Mowry. This design blends bold mosaic (slipped-stitch) colorwork with a beautifully wearable, boxy silhouette and a clever button opening that can be worn in the front or the back. It’s graphic but timeless. Modern with a nod to mid-century vintage. And the kind of garment that feels just as good to knit as it does to wear. What you’ll make - A cropped, boxy tee with a reversible button opening - Eye-catching mosaic (slipped-stitch) colorwork - A versatile garment that layers beautifully and works across seasons How the course works - 10 Live, instructor-led Zoom sessions with plenty of time for questions (1.5 hrs each) - Intentional pacing with built-in breaks for independent knitting - Recordings posted the next day so you can catch up anytime - Pre-recorded, detailed step-by-step video lessons hosted in the interactive Sima Fiber Club Community - Ongoing support through the Sima Fiber Club Community, even after the course ends Because this is a longer course, it’s fully expected (and completely okay!) if you miss a live class or two. Course Details Level: Intermediate+ Dates: February 6 - May 8 (Fridays) Full schedule is available upon request and/or will be shared when you sign up Time: 5:30–7:00 PM (Pacific Time) You’ll need (not included): Yarn: Fingering weight yarn, similar to the pattern’s recommended Knitting for Olive Cotton Merino by Knitting for Olive Needles: US 3 / 3.25 mm, 32"–40" circular (Two sets needed for the 3-needle bind-off) & US 1 / 2.25 mm, 32"–40" circular. Also preferred needles for small-circumference knitting in both sizes (DPNs, magic loop, or short circulars) Is this course for you? This course is best suited for intermediate+ knitters who are ready to commit to a single, beautiful garment and enjoy working with finer gauges and lots of small stitches. You don’t need to know everything going in—we’ll learn together—but you should be comfortable with the basics and excited to stretch your skills.
